[25/09/2007] Blog *SPAM*

Categories:

I just wanted to post a little message to all the people that feel they have *SPAM* my blog. Whenever I find the time to go and reply to comments I first have to wade through the endless list of spam comments. Just to set the record straight, I do not need the following:

  1. Car Insurance of any description
  2. Hotels, work book these for me or Lastminute.com and expedia.com are great.
  3. Medicine of any description
  4. Cars, I already have one thanks
  5. Viagra – As If!! J
  6. Anything that I have not really asked for!

Please can all those spammers who enjoy spamming me, leave me alone and let my blog stop feeling the pressure!! Pretty please! J

Thank you.

How can you be using blog software without a switched on spam filter? BTW it's also not good for your Google ranking to have Viagra all over your website :-)

Hey,
I do have *SPAM* protection using an Akismet key. It works perfectly except when people add loads of hyperlink URL's to the body. In fact when they appear here they are actually classed a valid comments, but are set as pending in my comments list. No-one else gets to see them, just bugs me thats all. I hear ya with the Viagra thing!! :-)
